The Silay City LCPC together with the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) conducted the monitoring of the functionality of the BCPC in 16 barangays last November 2017. They used Evaluation Tools included in the Manual of Operations, and the following were declared winners: First – Barangay Rizal, Second – Barangay 1, and the Third – Barangay Capitan Ramon.
As the project was in partnership with ASMAE, an international NGO based in France, the SIMAG BCPC Manual of Operations was presented to the ASMAE partners from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. The seminar/workshop conducted at Nature’s Village Resort, Talisay City, last April 2017 by SIMAG Consultant, Nonoy Labayen as the Resource Person.
SIMAG is now confident that through the current functionality of the BCPC in Silay City, children welfare will have a priority concerning activities and budget.
